1. Ineed an UPS but I'm afraid of the battery maintenance
Batteries used within COVER UPS are lead acid maintenance free.

2. What is the UPS back-up time ?
Typical back-up time for standard UPS configuration is about 5 to 15 minutes. If longer back-up time is needed COVER UPS offers extra battery modules or special chargers and batteries even for 1 - 10 hours and longer.
Typically back-up is given for full load. Once connected, load is lower then nominal back-up time is longer.

3. What does it mean "COVER UPS are True On Line"
True On Line is a UPS Technology, which provides continuous protection to load, by Inverter. Input power supply is rectified to DC and then Inverter does make output regulated sinusoidal voltage to supply the load.
Other name for this technology is On Line with Double Conversion or VFI - Voltage and Frequency Independent.

4. What is Bypass ?
Bypass is an alternative path to supply load directly from the utility. It is used in cases when Inverter is turned off, overheated, overloaded or out of service.

5. What is the difference between Static Switch and Service Bypass?
Static Switch and Service Bypass are both Bypasses.
Static Switch is an automatic Bypass used to supply load in cases when the Inverter is turned off, overheated or overloaded.
Service Bypass is a manual Bypass used in case of service.

6. To supply electronic equipment I use a generator. Do I need the UPS?
Yes! A generator doesn't provide a proper type of voltage (due to voltage and frequency changes) to supply electronic equipment. In addition any time when utility fails the generator need time to start (typical it is 2 - 30 seconds) but the electronic equipment needs a continuous and stable power.

7. How to make an automatic shut down for a server or a PC supplied by COVER UPS?
It is quite simple. You need to use a shut down software. For Partner UPS it is UPSEntry Smart 2000 supplied together with UPS. (up)
